I love grilling gadgets and Weber makes some nice ones. Here are some of the best grill accessories for the different grill lines.
Weber Charcoal Grill Accessories
Weber Rapidfire Chimney Starter: If you are going to use a chimney (and you should!) then you might as well use the Weber chimney. The Cool Touch handle and easy pour assist handle are nice additions and set this chimney apart from generic versions.
Weber 3 Piece Stainless Steel Tool Set: These are heavy duty stainless steel grill tools that I am proud to own. I have the two piece set (spatula and tongs) and love the look, feel and weight of the products. I purchased the two piece set as they are just the right size to store inside my Weber Jumbo Joe. Weber also sells a three piece set (spatula, tongs and fork) that are a little larger. I haven’t personally used the larger tools but they look pretty dang nice.
Weber 3 Sided Grill Brush: You can tell that the folks at Weber really thought this product through. The rounded edges on the brush make it perfect for getting in between the individual grate rods. Additionally, the wires are twisted around the base of the brush making it much harder for them to fall off.
Weber Kettle Rotisserie: I love my kettle rotisserie! After you get done playing around with rotisserie chicken you can start spinning some pork for some serious fun. Pork loins are perfect for rotisserie grilling and pork butts turn out pretty spectacular as well.
Weber Professional Grade Grill Pan: The Weber grill pan I have linked to received the highest marks during America’s Test Kitchen evaluations. I have an earlier model that is a #1 Best Seller on Amazon. These are perfect for roasting vegetables, shrimp, etc without worrying about stuff falling through the grates.
Weber Gourmet BBQ System Sear Grate Set: If you want to do a serious upgrade to your grilling grate then take a long hard look at the Weber Gourmet BBQ System. This grill grate is slightly more “heavy duty” than a standard grate and comes with a removable center insert. The insert can be replaced with a cast iron cross hatch grate that can be used to put down amazing grill marks. The Weber Gourmet BBQ System is only available for 22.5 inch kettles.
Weber Gourmet BBQ System Griddle: This griddle is designed to be another insert option for the Weber Gourmet BBQ System.
You do NOT need the Gourmet BBQ System to use this griddle. This griddle works great sitting on top of a regular grill grate. This griddle is perfect for searing fajitas and is versatile enough to use for baking deep dish pizza. This is a nice piece of heavy cast iron and can be used in the oven or on the stove if desired.
Weber Q Grill Accessories
Weber Q Rolling Cart: This cart is a nice way of elevating your Weber Q off the counter top or having a nice place to set up your grill when you are on the go. The cart folds up for easy transportation.
This is the older version of the cart and works with all Weber Q grills made before 2014. The newer Weber Q grills (1000/2000) require the newly designed cart which is receiving some pretty horrible reviews. If you have an older Weber Q grill get this cart. If your Weber Q is brand new skip this purchase and find something better to spend your money on.
Adapter Hose for Weber Q-Series Grills: If you are tired of dealing with those little disposable propane tanks then this is what you need to run your Weber Q off of a standard 20 pound propane tank. The adapter hose is pretty inexpensive and solves a really annoying problem.
Weber Q Griddle: Adding a griddle is a great way to have a lot more fun with your Weber Q. A griddle is perfect for making breakfast; bacon and eggs with a side of hash browns! You can also use a griddle to take your hamburgers to a whole new level; smash burgers with grilled mushrooms!
Roasting Rack and Roasting Shields: When you are roasting large cuts on your Weber Q it helps to have the meat elevated above the cast iron grate. The Roasting Rack elevates the meat while the Roasting Shield help direct the grease away from the burners and minimizes flare-ups. These come in a Small (Weber Q100/120) and Large (Weber Q200/300) sizes. Here are the links:
Large Roasting Rack
Large Roasting Shields
Small Roasting Rack
Small Roasting Shield
Aluminum Drip Pans: It’s amazing how fast you can go through these things! Might as well stock up now 🙂
Weber Gas Grill Accessories
Weber Rotisserie: Nobody actually needs a rotisserie but everyone should have one! Adding a rotisserie to your grill opens up a new level of grilling fun. Just about the funnest thing you can do with your grill is spend an afternoon watching big hunks of meat spinning over the flames. Weber has changed the size of there grill many times over the years so finding the rotisserie that fits your grill is a little confusing. Here is the link to find the perfect rotisserie for your Weber gas grill.
Weber Professional Grade Grill Pan: This grill pan received rave reviews from America’s Test Kitchen. If you want to roast green beans, asparagus or sliced zucchini then this is exactly what you need. The stainless steel does discolor with use but general cleanup is a breeze since you can just throw this in the dishwasher.
Weber Griddle: There are two types of griddles for the Weber gas grills; inserts and Planchas. You will need to decide which style is right for you but either one is excellent. Here is a post that tells you everything you need to know about Weber griddles.
Weber Stainless Steel Smoker Box: This is a great way to add smoke to your gas grill in a controlled manner. I have tried just adding wood chunks on top of a Flavorizer bar and my results are inconsistent. Sometimes this gives great smoke, sometimes it never smokes and sometimes it bursts into flames. By adding wood chips to the smoker box and placing that directly above a burner you will consistently get great smoke all the time.
